“Dead Center Seconds” Omega, Swiss, No. 10600650. Made in 1944. Fine, square, 8-day going, gilt brass desk clock with center-seconds. Brushed side panels, hinged back door, gilt bun feet. Green painted background covered by chased swirling branch pattern, silvered with applied bâton and Roman numerals, outer minute track with Arabic 5 minutes/seconds. Gilt “feuille” hands. Cal. 60 mm, gilt brass, 20 jewels, indirect center seconds, lever escapement, bimetallic balance, flat balancespring. Dial and movement signed. Dim. 129 x 129 mm.
