“Art Deco Style” Cartier, Paris, No. 199264. Made in the 1980s. Fine, gilt metal, hardstone and mother of pearl octagonal desk clock. Octagonal with inclined and inlaid hardstone borders, raised on a hardstone ball and stepped stem and mounted on a rectangular hardstone base with a gilt metal and enamelled foot. Mother of pearl panels in a sunburst pattern. Pierced “Alpha” hands. Quartz with brass casing and battery aperture. Case signed, movement with the Cartier logo. Dim. 23 cm. High. 14.5 cm wide, 7.6 cm deep.
