Platinum “Octa” F. P. Journe, "Invenit et Fecit", "Octa - Réserve de Marche", No. 153-02A. Made in 2002. Very fine and rare, self-winding, platinum gentleman's wristwatch with 120-hour power-reserve indicator, large date and a platinum F.P. Journe buckle. Accompanied by a fitted box and certificate. Two-body, solid, polished, concave lugs, transparent case back with 6 screws, sapphire crystals. Off-center, "guilloché" white with painted radial Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds dial screwed onto a matte 18K white gold dial plate, sector for the 120-hour power reserve indication, aperture for the oversized date. Blued steel "Journe"-style hands. Cal. 1300, rhodium-plated, "fausses-côtes" decoration, 22 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic 4-arm balance with 4 timing weights adjusted to 5 positions, selfcompensating free-sprung flat balance-spring, off-center bidirectional 22K "guilloché" gold rotor. Dial, case and movement signed. Movement also engraved "Exclusive Power Reserve System" and "Precision Chronometer". Diam. 38 mm. Thickness 11 mm. To be sold without reserve Notes Octa Besides the unusual design of its dial, the "Octa" also incorporates a technical feat: a large and more stable balance with free-sprung balance spring to deliver chronometer precision performance over the full period of 120 hours. After this period the watch -if unwound- will still run for one or two days, but with timekeeping at a lower rate of precision
