“Split-Seconds Chronograph with Secondes Foudroyantes” Swiss, No. 25208. Made for the Indian market, circa 1900. Very fine and unusual, 18K gold hunting-cased keyless pocket watch with split-seconds chronograph, 30-minute register and 1/4 seconds diablotine. Four body, "bassine", polished, the front cover engraved with a crest and monogram, the back with a monogram. Hinged gold cuvette inscribed “Exam.d by Goldsmiths Company, 112 Regent Street, London”. White enamel with radial Arabic numerals, outer minute track and outermost chronograph ring, subsidiary 30-minute register and 1/4 seconds diablotine. Blued steel "spade" hands.
