“Quarter-Repeating” Du Bois & Fils, Genève, No. 2324. Made circa 1820. Fine, 18K gold, quarter-repeating pocket watch with ruby cylinder escapement. To be sold without reserve Four-body, “Empire”, Mastermark “FHM”, reeded band, polished bezels, the back engine-turned with a sunray pattern and engraved initials in a cartouche, bolt at 1 o’clock for locking the repeat. Hinged gilt cuvette. White enamel with Breguet numerals and outer minute track. Blued steel "Breguet" hands. Notes Du Bois et Fils The company was established by Philippe Dubois (1738-1808) and became one of the most eminent in the Neuchâtel area for over two centuries.
