Wise, London, No. 16101, circa 1700. Fine, gilt brass and tortoiseshell pocket watch with gold champlevé dial. Two-body, later, back and bezel covered with tortoiseshell and decorated with studs, brass shutter for the winding aperture. 41 mm, gilt full-plate with large divided Egyptian pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, under-sprung plain threearm steel balance with flat balance spring, single-footed winged cock pierced and finely engraved with symmetrical stylized foliage, mask in the neck, rack and pinion regulator with silver dial.
