Ref 1491 “Scroll Lugs” Patek Philippe & Cie, Genève, No. 922887, case No. 629767, Ref. 1491. Made in 1942, sold on March 3, 1943. Very fine and unusual, 18K pink gold gentleman's wristwatch "à cornes capuchonnées" with an 18K pink gold demi-lune link bracelet. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, scrolled lugs. Brushed silvered with applied pink gold faceted bâton and pyramidal indexes, subsidiary seconds dial. Yellow gold “baton” hands. Cal. 12’’’-120, rhodium-plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, “swan-neck” micrometer regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 34 mm. Thickness 9 mm. Notes Ref. 1491 Production of this reference started in 1940. According to the Extract from the Archives, the present watch was originally fitted with a black dial. Stylistically, the present dial would appear to have been changed circa 1950.
