Notes In 1987, Andy Warhol designed this watch exclusively for Movado. This museum-quality piece, one of his last works, is the very first watch he designed. This example is number 169 of a limited edition of 250 pieces. Andy Warhol (1927-1987) The leader of the Pop Art Movement, Andy Warhol was born in Pittsburgh, PA, in 1927 to immigrant parents. He grew up during the Depression and became one of the 20th Century's most influential artists, achieving fame and wealth along the way. His art simultaneously celebrated, satirized and critiqued postwar American culture. Warhol himself became an iconic figure, his shock of white hair and blank expression recognized world wide as symbols of modern art and contemporary culture. Andy Warhol died in 1987.
