Very fine and extremely rare, water-resistant, center-seconds, 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch with luminous dial and hands, and an 18K yellow gold Patek Philippe buckle. Accompanied by a fitted box and the Extract from the Archives. Two-body, solid, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back, flat bezel, concave lugs, and dust protecting cap. Matte silver with applied luminous yellow gold bâton indexes. Luminous gold "dauphine" hands, blued steel center-seconds hand. 27-SC, stamped twice with the Geneva Quality Hallmark, rhodium-plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, shock absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 35 mm. Thickness 11 mm. Notes Ref. 2508 Production of this reference started in 1951. A similar watch is published in “Collecting Patek Philippe Wristwatches” by Osvaldo Patrizzi, Guido Mondani Editore Genova, 2004, vol. II, p. 169. This reference is extremely rare with luminous indexes and hands; this is only the third to be offered by Antiquorum. One was sold in Geneva in April 1995, lot 389; the second in Geneva in March 2001, lot 565. The present lot is thus only the third.
