Fine and rare, center-seconds, self-winding, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch with date. Accompanied by a Certificate of origin. Two-body, polished, inclined bezel and concave lugs, screwed-down case back. Silver brushed, “sunburst”, with applied lapidated yellow gold indexes and date aperture. Yellow gold “dauphine” hands. Cal. K 1072, stamped with the Geneva Seal, rhodium-plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 29 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, beryllium balance with timing screws adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and five positions, shock absorber, self compensating Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator, 18K gold rotor segment with ruby roller bearings. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 35 mm. Thickness: 11.5 mm. Notes Ref. 6378 Among the “classics” of Vacheron Constantin, Ref. 6378 is one of its great successes. With a self-winding movement, gold-edged rotor with ruby roller bearings, calendar, and a water-resistant case, it is representative of the best Swiss wristwatches of the 1960s.
