Two-body, solid, polished, straight and curved lugs, case back screwed. Silver with applied gold baton indexes, subsidiary dial. Yellow gold “baton” hands. Cal. 1001, rhodium-plated, “fausses côtes” decoration, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures, selfcompensating flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial and movement signed. Dim. 24 x 24 mm. Thickness 6 mm. Notes According to information provided by Vacheron Constantin, this movement was sold in France without a case. This was not an uncommon occurrence; after the Second World War, the taxes imposed on the importation of precious metals being extremely high, important Swiss firms such as Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin created workshops in France in which their movements were cased.
