Very fine and rare, 18K gold, enamel, sapphire and diamondset keyless lady’s pendant watch with detachable matching pendant and brooch fitting by Shreve & Co. (San Francisco). Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. Four-body, the back cover cast in relief with art nouveau foliage highlighted with frosted graduated blue enamel, set with three round diamonds and a pear-shaped sapphire, the interior of the back with engraved dedication, the bezel and band decorated to match, brooch fitting set with a single diamond and fanshaped sapphire. Hinged gold cuvette with engraved monogram. White enamel with radial blue Arabic numerals, outer blue minute track and gold painted Arabic five minute numerals. Gold “Louis XV” hands. 10’’’, rhodium-plated, “fausses cotes” decoration, 17 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, “moustache” lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 27 mm. Notes The movement of the present watch was very likely replaced during servicing, several years after its sale.
