“Minute Repeater” B. Poitevin, No. 38383, retailed by Auger, Joaillier Bijoutier, Place des Victoires, Paris. Made circa 1890. Very fine and rare, minute-repeating, 18K yellow gold and painted on enamel, keyless pocket watch. Four body, massive, "demi-bassine", polished, the back cover decorated with a painted enamel coat of arms on a light blue background. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic five minute numerals, subsidiary seconds. Gold "spade" hands.
