Stainless Steel Ref. 8171 So-Called "Padellone" Rolex, Perpetual, “Precision”, Ref. 8171. Case No.820728. Made in the early 1950s. Very fine and rare, astronomic, antimagnetic, self-winding, stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch with triple date and moon phases. Three-body, polished and brushed, sloped bezel, concave and curved lugs. Matte silver with applied gold faceted baton indexes, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds, outermost graduation for the days of the month in blue Arabic numerals, apertures for the days of the week, the months and the moon phases. Yellow gold "Dauphine" hands, arrow for the date. Notes Ref. 8171 This reference is one of the most sought-after models by collectors. It was produced from 1949-1952 in 18k yellow and pink gold as well as stainless steel.
