Very fine and rare, rectangular curved, flared, 18K two-color gold gentleman's wristwatch. Two-body, flared, solid, polished, yellow and white gold, stepped sides, rounded lugs, straight edge crystal Two-tone silver with Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial. Blued steel “baton” hands. 7 1/2’’’ “Observatory Quality”, rhodiumplated, 15 jewels, lateral lever escapement, bi-metallic balance, timed in 6 positions and for “all climates”, Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Dim. 26 x 43 mm. Thickness 8 mm. Property of an Asian Collector Notes An identical watch appears in a 1929 Rolex advertisement published in “Rolex, Collecting Modern and Vintage Wristwatches”, by Osvaldo Patrizzi, Guido Mondani Editore, 2005, vol. I, p. 33. The watch cost 21 pounds at the time.
