Very fine, minute-repeating, 18K gold hunting-cased keyless pocket watch. Four-body, “bassine et filets”, polished, hinged and sprung front cover with engraved monogram. Hinged gold cuvette with dedication. White enamel inscribed “George H. Ford, New Haven, Conn.”, narrow radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel “spade” hands. 19’’’, nickel-plated, “fausses côtes” decoration, 28 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 52 mm.
