Philadelphia Chippendale figured mahogany chest on chest, ca. 1770 , the broken arch pediment with carved rosettes and c-scroll lattice work centering a basket of fruit finial above 2 short over 3 long drawers, the bottom one with a fall front enclosing a fitted interior, flanked by fluted quarter columns resting on a base with 3 long drawers supported by ogee bracket feet, 93" h., 41 3/4" w.(feet restored). Provenance: Descended in the family of William Poulson, Claymont, DE.
