Made in a limited edition of 1000 examples in 1997 and sold on March 5th, 2001. Fine, "carré galbé", center-seconds, self-winding, water-resistant, stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch with date, black composite "Tropical" strap and a stainless steel Patek Philippe deployant clasp. Accompanied by a fitted box, the original Certificate of Origin and an additional strap. Two-body, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back and crown, flat sapphire crystal. "Army"-type black composite repeating the bracelet decoration, with luminous indexes and applied Arabic numerals, aperture for the date. Luminous steel hands. Cal. 330 SC, stamped with the Seal of Geneva Quality Mark, rhodium-plated, “fausses côtes” decoration, 30 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, Glucydur Gyromax balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, shock absorber, self-compensating free-sprung flat balance spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Dim. 34 x 36 mm. Thickness 8.5 mm. Notes Ref. 5060A was made in a limited edition of 1000 examples in 1997. The very first “Aquanaut” examples were manufactured with a steel back, including the present one. All later examples had a sapphire crystal back, excluding those with a quartz movement.
