International Watch Co. , Schaffhausen, “Mark XI.” Made in 1948. Fine and very rare, center-seconds, water-resistant, stainless steel aviator’s wristwatch with a stainless steel IWC buckle. Accompanied by an Extract from the Archives and recently serviced by IWC. Two-body, brushed, soft iron core to provide an antimagnetic shield, concave lugs, screwed-down case backengraved with “Broad Arrow” and marked “6B/346, 429/48.” Black with white painted Arabic numerals andtritium coated dots. Tritium coated steel “bâton” hands. Cal. 89, rhodium plated, “fausses côtes” decoration,17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock-absorber, self-compensating flatbalance-spring.Dial, case and movement signed.Diam. 36 mm.Thickness: 12 mm.
