Very fine and rare, platinum and diamond (93 diamonds with a total weight of 21 cts.) gentleman's chronometer wristwatch with visible one-minute tourbillon regulator, constant force “remontoir” with dead seconds, power reserve indication at 12, 18K pink gold movement and a platinum and diamond-set F. P. Journe deployant buckle. Accompanied by a fitted box. Two-body, solid, polished, concave lugs, transparent case back with 6 screws, winding crown engine-turned with a knurled pattern, sapphire crystals, entirely set with square and rectangular diamonds. Diamond-set, brushed 18K white gold dial plate, at 3 guilloché matte silver ring dial with painted Arabic numerals for the hours and minutes, subsidiary seconds ring dial at 6, aperture at 9 for the visible tourbillon regulator under a polished steel bridge, up-and-down indication at 12. Blued steel "Journe" hands. Notes This watch was recently overhauled by F.P. Journe. François-Paul Journe was born in Marseille in March 1957. In 1976 he graduated from the Paris Ecole d'Horlogerie, and two years later he began working in an antique watch restoration workshop in Paris.
