Ref. 1463, "Yellow Gold Medical" Patek Philippe, Genève, No. 868390, case No. 672756, Ref. 1463. Made in 1952, sold on May 7th, 1953. Extremely fine and rare, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold doctor's wristwatch with round button chronograph, register, pulsometer and an 18K yellow gold Patek Philippe buckle. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. Two-body, solid, polished, screwed-down case back, dust protecting cap, concave lugs. Matte silver with applied yellow gold faceted indexes, outer minute/seconds and 1/5th seconds divisions, outermost pulsometer scale graduated to 15 pulsations, subsidiary dials for the seconds and 30-minute register. Yellow gold "baton" hands. Notes This watch originally had a tachometer scale. At a later date the owner ordered a different dial, with pulsometer, from Patek Philippe. Ref. 1463 Production of this reference started in 1940. The reference was produced in yellow and pink gold, and a few examples in stainless steel. The first models of Ref. 1463, made in the 1940s, had bezels which continued to the band, this changed in the early 1950s to a stepped bezel. This reference was produced in stainless steel, yellow gold and pink gold.
