"An Important Banking Family" Breguet, No. 4802, sold to a member of an important banking family on March 24, 1837, for 1,600 Francs. Extremely fine and very rare, 18K gold "simple medaillon à tact" hunting-cased pocket watch with ruby cylinder escapement, short gold chain and gold double-ended male and female key. Accompanied a period box and certificate. White enamel with Breguet numerals, outer five minute, quarter-hour and half-hour track, secret signature below 12. Single blued steel hand.
