“Seamaster 600m” – 2nd Generation, So-Called “Ploprof” Omega, “Seamaster, Professional, 600m/ 2000ft, Automatic”, Ref. ST 166.0077. Made circa 1974. Fine, large, asymmetric, center seconds, selfwinding, water-resistant, stainless steel professional diver`s wristwatch with date and a rubber bracelet. Two-body, massive, polished and brushed, revolving graduated bezel for decompression times with red security push-button at 2 o’clock to lock the bezel, screwed-in and protected winding crown at 9 o’clock, bezel inclined and reeded, flat back with horizontal anti-slip groove pattern, sapphire crystal. Matte dark blue with painted luminous baton indexes, outer minute/seconds divisions, date aperture. Luminous white hour and seconds hand, luminous orange minute hand. Cal. 1000, copper-colored, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Dim. 45 mm x 55 mm. The first generation of watches was marked simply “600” on the dial; the second generation “600 m/2000 ft”.
