“Minute Repeater & Chronograph” Patek Philippe & Cie, Geneve, No. 112311, case No. 230368. Made in 1902, sold on October 22nd, 1903. Very fine and rare, minute-repeating, 18K gold and champlevé enamel pocket watch with chronograph.Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. Four-body, “bassine”, polished, the back cover decorated with a royal blue translucent enamel monogram, bolt at 11 to lock the chronograph. Dedicated hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with radial dauphine numerals, outer minute track and concentric fifths of a second divisions, red Arabic five minute/seconds numerals, subsidiary seconds. Gold “Louis XVI” hands. 42 mm., 19’’’, rhodium-plated, “fausses côtes” decoration, 35 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator, chronograph button in the crown, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Dial, case, cuvette and movement signed. Diam. 49 mm.
