“Exceptional Chronograph Work” Patek Philippe & Cie, Genève, No. 97549, case No. 215443. Made in 1895, sold on May 25th, 1901 to George M. Jewett. Very fine, rare, and important, keyless, minute-repeating, 18K rose gold and polychrome enamel pocket watch with unusual split-seconds chronograph and semi-instantaneous 30-minute register. Accompanied by the original box and Extract from the Archives. Four-body, "demi-bassine", solid, polished, case back with polychrome enamel crest, hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with Breguet numerals, outer minute and outermost chronograph divisions, sunk subsidiary dials for the seconds and the 30-minute register. Gold “Louis XVI" hands.
