Very fine and rare diamond and pearl-set 22K gold and enamel quarter-repeating “à toc” pocket watch with the original gilt brass protective. Two-body, with translucent royal blue enamel over a guilloché ground with applied diamond set silver monogram “CMH”, pearl set bezels. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions and Arabic 15 minutes. Gold “beetle and poker” hands. Hinged gilt brass full-plate, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass pierced and engraved continental cock, repetition via a hammer on the case. Movement signed. Diam. 58 mm.
