Minute Repeater Chronograph "Henry IV's Triumphal Entry into Paris" International Watch Co. , Swiss, No. 36491. Made circa 1910. Very fine, large, minute-repeating, 18K yellow gold, hunting-cased, keyless pocket watch with chronograph, decorated with a scene of King Henry IV of France entering Paris. Four body, massive, "bassine", frosted, the cover decorated with a scene in high relief depicting Henry IV entering Paris. Hinged gold cuvette decorated with medals awarded at the 1906 Exhibition in Milan. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer painted gold dot minute indexes, minutes and fifths of a second chronograph divisions, subsidiary seconds. Gilt brass "Louis XV" hands. Notes The scene depicted on the front cover of the present watch is taken from a painting by François Baron Gerard (1770- 1837) of Henry IV's triumphant entry into Paris on March 22, 1594. 351
