Ref. 3525, So-Called “Monoblocco” Rolex, “Oyster Chronograph, Antimagnetic”, case No. 463*0, Ref. 3525. Made circa 1940, retailed by Verga. Very fine and rare, water-resistant, 18K pink gold wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, tachometer, telemeter and an 18K yellow gold Rolex buckle. Two-body, polished and brushed, inclined bezel, screwed-down case back with engraved dedication, screwdown crown, concave lugs. Brushed silver with applied pink gold baton indexes and Arabic 6 and 12, outer minute/fifths of a second track, subsidiary seconds and 30-minute register dials, outermost tachometer and blue telemeter graduations. Pink gold "baton" hands. Notes It is rare to find this reference with such an attractive unrestored dial. The reference 3525 and the old “Paul Newman” references are the most soughtafter by collectors. A similar watch is illustrated in “Rolex, Collecting Wristwatches”, by Osvaldo Patrizzi, 2001 Edition, p. 422.
