“Yellow Gold Dress Watch Black Dial” Patek Philippe & Cie, Genève, No. 880295, case No. 517120. Made circa 1940. Very rare and fine 18K yellow gold keyless dress watch with black dial. Three-body, polished, "variée carrure plate", inclined bezel, the back engineturned with a striped pattern. Black lacquered with applied yellow gold faceted baton indexes, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Yellow gold "dauphine" hands. Notes Patek Philippe & Co. dress watches with black dials are exceptionally rare.
