Accompanied by a fitted box, certificate of origin, solid 18K yellow gold case back, two additional dials, and setting pin. Two-body, solid, polished, stepped concave bezel, transparent case back, concave lugs, sapphire crystals. Matte silver with applied yellow gold baton indexes, subsidiary dials for the days of the month, of the week, the months, the 24 hours and the leap year, aperture for the moon phases. Yellow gold dauphine hands. Cal. 240, stamped with the Seal of Geneva quality mark, rhodium-plated, fausses côtes decoration, 27 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, Gyromax balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, shock absorber, self-compensating free-sprung flat balance spring, 22K gold micro-rotor. Property of an East Coast Collector Notes The owner of the present watch, very particular about dial design, purchased several dials for his Ref. 3940 as new dial designs were introduced by Patek Philippe. The designs of the two additional dials include one with subsidary dials slightly less recessed than the original dial, as well as a Roman numeral dial with the new indexes and hand design.
