“Minute-Repeater” Cartier, Paris, circa 1910. Very fine and rare, thin, 18K yellow gold Art Deco minute-repeating keyless dress watch with gold chain. Accompanied by a fitted box. Three-body, “bassine pincée”, polished, ribbed band. Matte silver with painted radial Roman numerals, outer minute track. Bluedsteel “Breguet” hands. 17.5’’’ (40 mm), rhodium plated, “faussescotes” decoration, 29 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, flat balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs through activating the slide in the band.
