Very fine and very rare, 18K gold huntingcased, astronomical, keyless minute-repeating pocket watch with triple date, moon phase and lunar calendar. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. Four-body, solid, "bassine et filets", engine-turned, polished borders, the front cover with a central cartouche engraved with a crest and the motto “Pro Rege et Grege”. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary dials for the days of the week, the months and subsidiary seconds with inner red date ring, moon phase aperture with lunar calendar on the border. Blued steel "spade " hands. 19’’’, nickel-plated, "fausses-côtes" decoration, 31 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, counterpoised and calibrated straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Repeating on gongs activated by a slide in the band. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 55 mm. Notes It is rare to find a perpetual calendar, minuterepeating pocket watch in such spectacular condition. The motto “Pro Rege et Grege” means “For King and People”.
