Very fine and rare, asymmetric, water-resistant, stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch with black to brown color-change dial, round button chronograph, 12-hour and 30-minute registers, tachometer scale and a stainless steel Omega deployant clasp. This watch is sold with a box, a Certificate of Authenticity, and a 2-year Omega guarantee. Property of a French Gentleman Three-body, polished and brushed, integral crown and pusher guard, black bezel with tachometer scale, lyre lugs, screw-down case back with Speedmaster logo engraved “Flight Qualified By NASA For All Manned Space Missions – The First Watch Worn On The Moon”. Brown “black” with luminous painted baton indexes, outer minute/seconds divisions, outermost 1/5th second divisions, subsidiary dials for the seconds, the 12-hour and 30-minute registers. Luminous white “baton” hands. Cal. 861, coppercolored, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 42 mm. Thickness 14 mm. Notes Ref. ST 145.022-74 The ST 145.022 series of references was launched in 1968, and was the first of the Speedmasters to be fitted with caliber 861. The dial of this watch is known as a “Chocolate Dial” due to the even change of color from black to chocolate brown.
