Very fine and exceptionally rare, self-winding, center seconds, 18K yellow gold gentleman` s wristwatch with polychrome cloisonné enamel dial depicting an observatory and the night sky, and an Omega buckle. This watch is sold with a box, a Certificate of Authenticity, and a 2-year Omega guarantee. Two-body, solid, polished and brushed, rounded bezel, slightly downturned lugs, decagonal crown, back with “Observatory” logo. Polychrome cloisonné enamel central medallion depicting an observatory within a midnight blue starry sky, outer gilt chapter ring, faceted yellow gold baton indexes, applied Omega symbol at 6 o’clock. Yellow gold “dauphine” hands. Cal. 28.10 RA SC - 354, copper-colored, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring, bumper rotor. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 35 mm. Thickness 11 mm. Notes The dial of the present watch is from a very small series of fine cloisonné enamel dials made in 1954. Ref.
