Very fine and very rare, nickel silver railwayman’s keyless pocket chronometer with “24-hour” dial. This watch is sold with a box, Certificate of Authenticity and 2-year Omega guarantee. Three-body, “bassine”, solid, polished, rounded bezel. Three-part, white enamel with bold black Dauphine numerals 1-12 on a raised outer circle, small black Arabic numerals 13 -24 in the recessed center, outer minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds dial. Blued steel “spade” hands. Cal. 20 LO CCR NN, signed “Ls Brandt & Frères SA - Grade CCR”, rhodium-plated, “oeil-de-Perdrix” decoration, 19 jewels, 8 in screwed chatons, safety pinion, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, micrometer regulator. Dial and movement signed. Diam. 54.5 mm. Notes The movement of the present lot is a Grade CCR caliber, which is considered to be one of the finest seriesmanufactured precision calibers. The Grade CCR was only exceeded in quality by the Omega Grade CCCR caliber at the time of its manufacture. The case of this watch was manufactured in Canada as is usual for all of the Canadian Railway chronometers.
