Very fine and rare, cushion-shaped, 18K yellow gold gentleman`s wristwatch with single olive-shaped button chronograph with register, tachometer graduation, and an Omega buckle. This watch is sold with a box, Certificate of Authenticity and 2-year Omega guarantee. Three-body, solid, polished, arched and inclined bezel with rounded corners, straight lugs. White enamel with Breguet numerals, subsidiary dials for the constant seconds and the 30-minute register with colored indications corresponding to the tachometer scales: inner green spiral, outer red and outermost midnight blue tachometer graduation scales; outer minute/seconds and 1/5th seconds divisions with black 5 minute/seconds markers. Blued steel “éventail” hands. Cal. 28.9 CHRO, frosted gilt, 17 jewels, straightline lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. The present watch was called a “Chronotachymetre” by Omega. This term refers to the dial with its extended tachymeter scale capable of timing speeds both slow: 10.5 kph, to speeds that were not yet achieved by the fastest cars of the day: 250kph.
