Zenith "cp2 type" Zenith, "CP2 Type", made for A. Cairelli Roma, in 1960. Fine and rare, water-resistant, stainless steel military wristwatch with round button chronograph and register. Three-body, polished and brushed, screweddown case back, reeded and graduated bi-directional revolving black bezel, dust protecting cap, lapidated lugs. Black with luminous Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds and 30-minute register dials, outer minute and fifth of second track. Luminous steel baton hands. Cal. 146DP, 13’’’, rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring. Dial and movement signed, engraved on the back. Diam. 43 mm. Thickness 14 mm. Notes This chronograph was used by the Italian Air Force Corps and was among the most popular brands supplied to the Army by the Importer Cairelli.
