Vacheron & Constantin Quarter-Repeater Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, No. 35487. Made circa 1830. Very fine and rare, quarter-repeating, 18K yellow gold pocket watch. To be sold without reserve Four-body, solid, entirely foliate chased and engraved, the center with a portrait of Ceres holding a cornucopia. Hinged gold cuvette. Engine-turned silver with painted radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, eccentric sunk subsidiary seconds dial between 2 and 3, moiré floral center. Yellow gold Breguet hands. 35 mm., frosted gilt, 4 jewels, cylinder escapement, three-arm brass balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator, repeating with two polished steel hammers on two gongs activated by depressing the pendant.
