Fine, square, quarter-repeating, silver pocket watch with highrelief depiction of the early years of motoring. Three-body, square, polished, gilt bezel, the hinged back decorated with a high-relief medallion depicting an early motor car speeding along a road. Glazed gilt-rimmed cover over the movement. White enamel with Breguet numerals, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. 19’’’, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a button in the band, centrifugal governor. Dial signed Tavannes Watch Co., Movement signed “AL” beneath the quarter hammer, case signed Holy Freres. Dim. 52 mm. square.
