Very fine and rare, self-winding, antimagnetic, stainless steel wristwatch with triple date, moon phases and a stainless steel Rolex buckle. Three-body, polished, inclined bezel, concave and curved lugs, snap-on case back, correctors on the band. Ivory-color with applied steel dart and pyramidal indexes, Arabic 12, outer minute track, subsidiary dial for the seconds, outermost graduation for the days of the month in Arabic numerals, apertures for the days of the week, the months and the moon phases. White gold feuille hands. Notes Ref. 8171 Rolex Ref. 8171 is a highly sought after model by vintage Rolex collectors and is commonly referred to as the “Padellone” by Italian collectors. Production started in 1949 and ended in 1952. It was produced in yellow and pink gold, and more rarely in stainless steel. Total production of this reference is approximately 1,000 pieces.
