Made in a limited edition of 500 pieces in platinum in 2006. Fine, large, water-resistant, platinum wristwatch with regulator dial and a platinum IWC buckle. Accompanied by an IWC box, certificate and instructions. Three-body, polished and brushed, concave bezel, concave lugs, band engraved “144/500”, transparent back with 6 screws, sapphire crystals. Frosted silver with small hour chapter with applied Arabic quarter-hour numerals, outer minute track with Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds dial. Platinum feuille hands. Cal. 98245, oeil-de-perdrix and fausses cotes decoration, 22 jewels, some in gold chatons, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to 5 positions, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring, shock absorber, large index regulator with engraved scale on the backplate. Dial and movement signed, case numbered. Diam. 43 mm. Thickness 12 mm. Notes Ref. 5444 was launched in August 2006, exclusively for IWC boutiques. The platinum model was limited to 500 pieces, it was also available in pink gold and stainless steel versions, which were unlimited.
