Yellow Gold 6782 Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, “Automatic”, movement No. 571255, case No. 407142, Ref. 6782. Made in 1965. Very fine and rare, center-seconds, self-winding, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold wristwatch with date and revolving graduated bezel. Three-body, solid, brushed and polished, reeded bi-directional revolving bezel graduated for 60 minutes, screw-down case back. Silver, “sunburst”, with applied yellow gold vertical baton indexes, aperture for the gold-rimmed jump date. Yellow gold baton hands. Cal.K1072, stamped with the Geneva Seal, rhodium-plated, oeil-de-perdrix and fausses cotes decoration, 29 jewels, straight line lever escapement, beryllium balance with timing screws adjusted for heat, cold, isochronism and five positions, shock-absorber, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator, 18K gold edged rotor with ruby roller bearings. It is a magnificent example of the design of the end of the 1960s and early 1970s, and was made in fewer than 100 examples.
