Accompanied by the original fitted box, Certificate of Origin and the Extract from the Archives. Four-body, "demi-bassine", polished, the back cover with blue champleve enamel monogram “E. Notes Le Glorieux was a French submarine that took part in World War II combat and was awarded the Medal of Resistance with rosette in recognition of its contribution to the war effort on November 20, 1946. Edmond Louis Hyacinthe Derrien (1882-1946) Lieutenant de Vaisseau, Derrien was commander of French submarine Le Glorieux in the 1930s. In 1942, Admiral Derrien was in command of French naval forces in Bizerte, Tunisia, when the Germans invaded.
