Model Electromagnetic Escapement Ecole de Mecanique & D’Horlogerie, Neuchatel. Made in the 1970s. Fine and unusual, working model of an electromagnetic clock escapement. Wooden casing on a metal bracket fixed to the chamfered wooden base. Battery driven with perspex plates and brass wheels, large battery housing in the form of a battery, electromagnetic coil driving the escape wheel with magnets mounted above and below, flat brass balance spring. Signed on a brass plaque on the base. Dim. 30 x 32 x 20 cm. In working condition
