Ref: E1100, Electronic Table Clock Patek Philippe, Genève, No. 1 800 247, Ref. E1100. Made in a series of 30 pieces, Sold to Zigerli, Bern, in 1973. Very fine and very rare, gilt brass and blue painted electronic chronometer table clock with center-seconds. Rectangular brushed gilt brass, square colums at each corner, sides and hinged back door painted blue in imitation of marble. Rectangular, painted blue to match the case, applied gilt baton indexes. Gilt brass tapered baton hands. Rectangular, transistorized, powered by three 1.5 v batteries in a black cylindrical housing, frequency adjustment and switch for precision setting. Dial and movement signed. Dim. 21 x 14 x 10.5 cm. Notes The Ref. E1100 clock was developed from the Naviquartz marine chronometer Ref. E1200 and uses the same movement. This clock is very rare. In 1970 Patek Philippe planned to make 100 pieces but only thirty were actually made and delivered to Beyer of Zurich. In 1971 only one piece was produced; in 1972, 24 were made; and in 1973 the last 5 pieces were made. They were offered in three colors: red, blue and turquoise.
