Fine and rare, keyless deck lever chronometer with Guillaume balance and power-reserve in a fitted wooden deck box. Black patinated, the dial surround inscribed “Marine Service Hydrographique”, large winding crown protruding through the plate, two-tier wooden box with applied number plaque. Off-white painted, radial black painted Arabic numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds, power-reserve indication up to 32 hours. Blued steel spade hands. Cal. 21’’’, rhodium plated, fausses cotes and oeil-de-perdrix decoration, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, anibal-brass Guillaume balance with gold timing screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator. Dial and case signed Jaeger, movement signed Vacheron & Constantin. Dim. 13.5 x 10.5 x 6.6 cm.
