Bubble Back Rolex, “Oyster Perpetual, Certified Chronometer", case No. 492436, Ref. 3131. Made circa 1946. Fine and rare, tonneau-shaped, self-winding, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold wristwatch. Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, concave bezel, screwed down case back and “Oyster Patent” crown, half hooded lugs. Matte yellow, with applied luminous yellow gold Roman numerals and baton indexes, subsidiary dial for the seconds, outer minute track. Luminous blued steel baton hands. 11’’, rhodium-plated, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, flat balance spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 32 mm. Thickness 12.5 mm.
