Very fine, extremely rare and unusual, silver portable keyless desk watch in the form of a snuff box. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. To be sold without reserve Three-body, engraved throughout with stylized foliage and flowers, folding panel displaying the watch, reeded bezel, large winding crown. Silver cuvette. Gold Louis XV hands. 18’’’, “adjusted”, rhodium-plated, 18 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line moustache lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, Wilmot’s patented cam micrometer regulator. Often with unusual pieces such as this Patek supplied the movement only (as stated in the Extract from the Archives), however in this case the silver box is fully signed on each part, making it extremely rare as an object entirely made by Patek Philippe.
