Swan Lake Swiss, probably Geneva. Made circa 1915. Fine and rare, silver and enamel lady’s keyless pendant watch. To be sold without reserve Oblong with canted corners, polished, the back cover decorated with an engraved Swiss lake view, a swan in the foreground, overlaid with translucent azure enamel, asymmetric border decorated with white champleve enamel outlining. Frosted silver with black painted dauphine numerals, outer minute divisions. Blued steel spade hands. 10 ½’’’, rhodiumplated, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Dim. 46 x 35 mm. Notes The engraving of the lake scene and swan is done so that it gives a beautiful three-dimensional effect. It is made by one of the specialist Geneva enamelling companies such as Steinwachs.
