Three-body, solid, polished, coin-edge band, rounded bezel, white gold screwed bars, transparent case back, sapphire crystals. Visible movement, small eccentric guilloché silver dial with radial Roman numerals, retrograde power reserve indication at 11. Blued steel Breguet hands. Cal. 507 DR, “Souscription”-style with sand-blasted finish, 34 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance with 4 regulating screws and adjusted in five positions, blued steel parachute shock absorber, selfcompensating free-sprung Breguet balance spring, power reserve indication. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 38 mm. Thickness 12 mm. Notes In this remarkable wristwatch, inspired by Abraham-Louis Breguet’s “souscription” watches of circa 1795, Nicolas G. Hayek and the designers of the Breguet firm adapted the characteristics of Breguet’s original watch - going so far as to reproduce the elastic suspension of the balance and the movement design - to the requirements of a modern wristwatch, with the added feature of the power reserve.
